"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

It is a great privilege to help guide the lives of our students. To be able to mentor, model, and help direct our students into the fulfillment of God’s purposes for them is an awesome task and one that is not taken lightly. Our prayer is that we do all we can to ensure that each student is given opportunities and encouragement in finding God’s unique plan for their lives. In addition to leading our students through their process of seeking God’s will for their academic and future job choices, our guidance center is dedicated to providing information for academic and personal growth, the college admission process, providing testing opportunities, and many other resources of help to high school students.

The School Counselor is here to serve in providing individualized care by assisting students with academic and personal needs.  From Kindergarten through twelfth grade, the guidance counselor’s goal is to provide a nurturing, supportive, and ongoing relationship with parents and students. Our prayer is to provide each family with the support and encouragement needed to make informed decisions concerning the well-being and direction of each student’s life.

Developed in 2005, our Mentoring Program has become a cherished part of the Covenant Christian School experience. At the beginning of each school year, a high school student is paired with an elementary school student to form a mentoring pair. Each month, the mentoring pairs meet together for a time of bonding, fun activities, and service. Among the organizations the Mentoring Program has assisted are Hospice of the Shoals, St. Jude’s Research Hospital, Pennies for Patients, Salvation Army, and many others. We pray that our students receive a blessing by having the opportunity to get to know and help one another in this manner. Additionally, we hope that what takes place at Covenant Christian will bless those in our community and beyond.
