COUNSELOR CORNER

Bible and people blurred in the background

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

It is a great privilege to help guide the lives of our students. To be able to mentor, model, and help direct our students into the fulfillment of God’s purposes for them is an awesome task and one that is not taken lightly. Our prayer is that we do all we can to ensure that each student is given opportunities and encouragement in finding God’s unique plan for their lives. In addition to leading our students through their process of seeking God’s will for their academic and future job choices, our guidance center is dedicated to providing information for academic and personal growth, the college admission process, providing testing opportunities, and many other resources of help to high school students.

The School Counselor is here to serve in providing individualized care by assisting students with academic and personal needs.  From Kindergarten through twelfth grade, the guidance counselor’s goal is to provide a nurturing, supportive, and ongoing relationship with parents and students. Our prayer is to provide each family with the support and encouragement needed to make informed decisions concerning the well-being and direction of each student’s life.

A NOTE FROM MRS. LOPEZ

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year!

I am so excited to be working with the CCS family. Students are settled in their classrooms and schedule. Teachers have done an excellent job in making the start to the year a smooth one. We have new families and staff that have enriched our campus. What a great way to start the year.

Jeremiah 29:11 assures us that God has a plan for each one of us. I know He also has a great plan for Covenant and am excited to see His plan unfold. How can you be a part of the plan? Volunteer your time. Sign up as a classroom parent or work the concession stand at a home game. Attend school events. Be an active participant in the CCS community. I guarantee you won't regret it!

Pray that God grows our students in every way. Pray for our staff. Pray that God will let our lights shine each day for Him. Pray that each one stays healthy and well-rested. Pray that God ministers to their hearts.
