OUR HISTORY

God has shown His faithfulness, guidance, provision and blessing to Covenant Christian School since its beginning in 1985 in rented facilities with two teachers and 19 children in kindergarten and first grade. Growing steadily, the school added a grade each year, and now offers a K-3-12th grade academic program. The school opened the 1991 school year in a new 22,000 square-foot building on a 16.5 acre campus. Today, Covenant Christian School is recognized as one of the best private schools in Alabama.

Covenant's unique reputation for the Shoals Area offers a quality, multi-denominational Christian academic education with all aspects of the educational process based on the Bible and Biblical principles.  Prayer, spiritual and moral development, in addition to academic excellence, are central to Covenant’s purpose.

Covenant prepares students in the basics so that they can be confident in their abilities and successful in their work. The academic program includes English, History, Math, Science, Computer, Robotics, Music, Fine Arts, Drama and Physical Education. Covenant’s course of study focuses on a traditional approach.
